Their oats are grown and harvested locally and produced in small batches to capture the rich, delicious flavor that is the original Irish oatmeal.

 What's the difference? The taste is the difference.  Whole grain oats are grown locally by Irish farmers. At harvest time each year, Flahavan's take in the new season's oats at the mill, drying and storing them with special care for the year ahead. The unique way of milling is what gives these oats their full rich texture, sealing in the natural aroma and giving  the oatmeal its distinctive creamy taste.
