All natural lemon curd from Serramel, a family owned company headquartered near the Serra da Malcata nature reserve in Eastern Portugal. Their golden-yellow lemon curd has a smooth, creamy texture. The flavor is bright, lemony, and buttery--like a dose of sunshine in your mouth. Defined by its fresh taste and incredible creaminess, Beirabaga's Lemon Curd pairs perfectly with almost anything baked. Use as a filling or spread it on cakes, cupcakes, breads, cookies, cream puffs, tarts, and pastries. This lemony spread is made in Portugal using only four ingredients: Sugar, Lemon, Eggs and Butter.

“Serramel” (honey hill, in Portuguese) has started with the love for the nectar of the bees. But one sweet thing leads to another, we guess, and faced with the bounty of amazing fruit that grows in the land of central Portugal (the Beiras) it would be a waste not to go into jam production. And that’s what the family did, in 2004, under the label “Beirabaga” (baga meaning berry).
